Medical clinics in Charlotte, North Carolina, will help poor communities in the area get proper medical attention

The impressive donation by the ex-NBA champion will fund two Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Clinics, set to open in the next three years.

According to the press release, Jordan is delighted to work with Novant Health, as the clinic’s commitment to the local poor community is outstanding. As stated by the organization, the feeling is mutual.

The basketball player was motivated by a recent study suggesting that children in Charlotte are less likely to escape poverty when compared to other 50 cities across U.S.

The clinics will therefore promote affordable health-care to high-risk individuals, with the goal of reducing ER utilization by 68 per cent and general admission by 37 per cent.

The generous $7 million donation is considered to change the lives of vulnerable communities by increasing the level of medical assistance. The clinics can welcome and cover the medical needs of 35.000 children and adults.
